WeatherWake(이하 "앱")는 날씨 정보를 기반으로 알람 시각을 자동 조정하는 Android 알람 앱입니다. 본 개인정보처리방침은 앱이 수집·이용·보관하는 정보를 설명합니다.

앱은 다음 정보를 수집합니다:

• 위치 정보 (대략적 위치 또는 사용자가 직접 설정한 위치) — 날씨 조회 목적
• 알람 설정 데이터 (시각, 요일, 날씨 연동 설정, 선행 시간) — 기기 내부에만 저장

• 이름, 이메일, 전화번호 등 개인 식별 정보
• 계정 또는 로그인 정보 (앱은 로그인을 요구하지 않음)
• 기기 식별자 (광고 ID, IMEI 등)
• 앱 사용 행동 데이터, 분석 정보
• 위치 데이터의 장기 기록 또는 이동 경로

• 현재 위치 또는 설정된 위치의 날씨 조회 (날씨 API 호출)
• 알람 시각 90분 전, 해당 알람 시각의 단기 예보를 교차 검증하여 비 또는 눈 감지 시 알람 시각 자동 조정
• 알람 설정 저장 및 복원

알람 설정 데이터는 사용자의 기기 내에만 저장되며, 외부 서버로 전송되거나 저장되지 않습니다.

위치 정보는 각 알람 시각 90분 전에 1회 날씨 API 호출에만 사용되며, 호출 이후 기기에 장기 보관되지 않습니다. 사용자가 수동으로 설정한 위치는 기기 내 SharedPreferences에 저장됩니다.

앱 삭제 시 모든 저장 데이터가 즉시 삭제됩니다.

앱은 알람 시각 90분 전에 아래 날씨 공급자의 단기 예보를 각각 1회 조회하고, 교차 검증하여 알람 앞당김 여부를 결정합니다. 한국·미국 지역에서는 두 공급자를 동시에 조회하며, 둘 중 하나라도 비·눈을 감지하면 알람을 앞당깁니다.

모든 경우 좌표 외에 식별 가능한 개인정보는 전송되지 않습니다. NWS에는 앱 식별용 User-Agent 헤더(앱 이름 + 브랜드 사이트 URL)가 추가 전송됩니다.

앱은 날씨 조회를 위해 기기의 대략적 위치 접근 권한을 요청합니다. 위치 정보는 각 알람 시각 90분 전에 1회 날씨 API 호출 시에만 전달되며, 그 외 목적으로 사용되지 않습니다.

한국 지역에서는 위경도를 5km 해상도 격자 좌표(nx·ny)로 변환하여 기상청에 전송하므로, 정확한 위치가 아닌 대략적 지역만 노출됩니다.

위치 권한을 허용하지 않을 경우, 수동으로 위치를 직접 설정하여 앱을 사용할 수 있습니다.

WeatherWake ("the App") is an Android alarm app that automatically adjusts alarm times based on weather conditions. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, uses, and stores.

• Location data (approximate location or manually set location) — used solely for weather lookup
• Alarm settings (time, repeat days, weather trigger options, advance minutes) — stored on device only

• Personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number
• Account or login credentials (the App requires no login)
• Device identifiers (advertising ID, IMEI, etc.)
• App usage analytics or behavioral data
• Long-term location history or movement tracking

• Fetching weather data for the current or user-set location via weather APIs
• Cross-validating short-term forecasts for the scheduled alarm time from multiple providers 90 minutes before each alarm, and automatically advancing the alarm when rain or snow is detected by any provider
• Storing and restoring alarm settings on the device

All alarm settings are stored only on the user's device and are never transmitted to or stored on external servers.

Location data is passed to weather APIs only once, 90 minutes before each scheduled alarm, and is not retained on the device long-term. Manually set locations are saved in device SharedPreferences.

Uninstalling the App immediately deletes all stored data.

The App queries the short-term forecast from each weather provider once, 90 minutes before a scheduled alarm, and cross-validates the results to decide whether to advance the alarm. In Korea and the US, two providers are queried simultaneously — if either detects rain or snow, the alarm is advanced.

In all cases, no personally identifiable information is transmitted beyond location coordinates. The NWS additionally receives a User-Agent header containing the app name and developer website URL for identification purposes.

The App requests access to your device's approximate location in order to look up local weather. Location data is transmitted to weather APIs only once, 90 minutes before each scheduled alarm, and is not used for any other purpose.

For users in Korea, latitude and longitude are converted into 5 km resolution grid coordinates (nx, ny) before being sent to the Korea Meteorological Administration, so only an approximate area — not a precise position — is exposed.

If you prefer not to grant location permission, you can manually enter a location in the App's settings.
